DS Research Celebrates FDA Approval of Adquey™ for Atopic Dermatitis
We’re excited to celebrate an important milestone in dermatology.
Adquey™ (difamilast 1% ointment) has received FDA approval as a new non-steroidal topical treatment for mild to moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema) in patients 2 years of age and older.
At DS Research, we’re proud to have played a role in the clinical trials that helped bring this treatment one step closer to patients. Every clinical study represents countless hours of dedication from our physicians, research staff, and—most importantly—the patients who volunteer to participate in research to help advance medicine.
Adquey is a topical phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4) inhibitor designed to help reduce the inflammation associated with eczema without the use of topical steroids. Having another FDA-approved treatment option expands the choices available to providers and patients when developing individualized treatment plans.
Seeing a medication move from clinical trial to FDA approval is always rewarding. It’s a reminder of why clinical research matters and how participation in research today can help improve treatment options for patients tomorrow.
We are grateful to everyone who participated in the Adquey clinical trials and are proud to continue contributing to the future of dermatologic care.
